Ariel Rebel is one of the amateur models I have always enjoyed seeing and meeting. A super sweet, super smart girl from Montreal, she was one of the truly original Amateur girls online, long before the webcam thing and all that. Very petite and with a very unique sort of look about her and a great smile, she was one of the fan favorites all along. In the history of before live came show websites, she was pretty much on the top of the game. I met her a number of times at conventions and digital creator get togethers, and she impressed me every time with her depth of awareness of both the business and the pleasure sides of what she did. One of the rare girls who was truly stunning in person (better than the pictures) and yet very self aware and friendly when she knew you.
However, like many she had issues to handle. One of them was a personal relationship that was also a business relationship, and when one side broke, so did the other. The partners who actually provided the business side of her personal website also had a hard time to get everything right with her, and after taking the site over, she was hesitant to get it going again. A lot of things go into that, one of them being that more and more she was feeling her artistic side and her growth away from being a teasing nude model. I think any girl who does this sort of thing knows that at some point time will catch up with them, so you can’t bank on that for the rest of your life.
Moreover, weird things were happening that really mad her unhappy and frustrated. Her images were often used for making fake accounts on social media, with the “send me money for stuff” or “join this dating site so we can hook up” sort of crap which lead to a lot of people getting scammed by her good looks and fame. The negatives were there, and I don’t think she wanted to be that girl anymore. Fast forward a couple of years, she has relocated from Montreal to Europe, and now runs Miss Rebel Creates, which is a site all about her art and other creative projects, as well as a cooking channel called Zesty and Spicy. It is all interesting.
Even now, you can see her as an amazing pretty and intelligent woman who has grown to embrace her creativity and flair. She is a truly amazing woman that I would sit down for dinner with any time, just to hear her stories. There is life after porn, after all. So my one request for everyone is when a girl (or a guy) leaves the adult world, please respect their desires to be out of it. No stalking or being creepy, they are people too.
