It’s been a pretty weird week around here. First off, Porniki (the porn wiki) has been doing pretty well. I am working on adding stuff over there every day, and people generally seem to like the site. It is really fun to watch some of the things people search for, like yummy small tits and fucking kristal. I don’t get too many weird ones yet, but I am watching for searches like britney spears fucks a dog coming soon, I guess (not that it has happened, but everything else apparently has).

Anyway, other good things include some fresh hot pics of one of my favorite pornstars, Jenna Haze. It didn’t take me long to get back here to post, now did it?  I have been busy as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest, getting all sorts of stuff done.  One of the biggest things is I am in the process of preparing my house for sale.  I know, it ain’t porn, but I sure feel tired like a mofo when I get to the end of the day.  In the last month I have painted 5 rooms (flat white ceilings, color walls, semi-gloass white mouldings) and cleaned a bunch more, installed a central vacuum system, and generally cleaned everything up.  I still have 2 rooms left to work on, but I will get it done.  Sort of kicks my ass, it is really a ton of work.

One of the weirdest things I discovered about working on the internet is the two step thing called Internet Time.  Internet Time runs at two speeds.  The difference between those two speeds is what creates the frenzied need for patience.

The First speed is the instant on, always there, updated 3 seconds ago web, the web where everything you put out there is seen and heard immediately.  No wait time, the internet goes as fast as you can hit the enter key.   That is what gets you instant headline news, updated blog feeds, and all sorts of other stuff.  As soon as I push publish on this post, it will be live and anyone coming to the site will see it.

The second speed is the dog slow discovery speed of the net.  There are so many people pushing enter, clicking publish, adding new sites and pages, and generally tossing new information, that the systems in place to find that new information are incredibly slow.  As an example, I recently redid a site I own called You Got Porn.  Now, the time between the point that I update the site and the major search engines like Google and Yahoo will discover the changes and do something about it can be up to 6 months.

So when you are working on something new, you have to hurry up and get it done, and then wait endlessly for the fruits of your labors to be borne.  Internet time.  Hurry up and wait!
